After reading copious amounts of fanfic, sometimes I get confused with which things are canon and which fanon.

So, I´d like to start a discussion on this topic.

What things or themes have you seen in fanfics that you are not sure if they are canon or fanon?

Example:

Canon
There´s beer and Mountain Dew in Mark´s fridge.

Fanon?

OMG YOU GUYS.  Thank you for starting such an amazing Awards-season dialogue in my Oscars post.  It was truly wonderful to finally have some great Oscar thoughts from fandom, as I have spent most of my Oscar season  with non-fandom peeps! ^___^

I found something really interesting in "The Education of Charlie Banks" - there's a scene where Jesse's character reads a newspaper with SPIDER-MAN as a headline. Just thought I'd point that out here at my LJ complete with dodgy screencap. Lol.
